Milestone Tracker
Track your baby's developmental milestones from birth to 2 years. Celebrate the big moments and know what to look out for.
Milestones are skills and behaviours that most children develop by a certain age — things like smiling, rolling over, babbling, and taking first steps.
These are based on NHS and health visitor guidelines, but remember: every baby develops at their own pace. The age ranges given are averages, not deadlines.
Premature babies may reach milestones later — health visitors often use "corrected age" (from the due date, not birth date) for the first 2 years.
Use this tracker to celebrate progress and guide conversations with your health visitor — not as a pass/fail checklist.
Your Progress
When to speak to your health visitor
Every baby is different, but do mention it at your next check if you notice:
- Your baby isn't meeting several milestones for their age
- They've lost skills they previously had
- You have any concerns about their development, hearing, or vision
- Your instinct tells you something isn't quite right
Trust your gut — you know your baby best. Health visitors are there to help, not judge.
