Chickenpox catch-up: Children born between 1 January 2020 and 31 August 2022 who haven't had chickenpox (or been vaccinated against it) will be offered a single MMRV catch-up dose between November 2026 and March 2028. Your GP practice will contact you.

This schedule accounts for the NHS changes introduced from July 2025 and January 2026, including the new MMRV vaccine (which adds chickenpox protection) and the new 18-month appointment for babies born on or after 1 July 2024.
From age 2, children are also offered a free annual flu vaccine (usually a nasal spray) each winter.
