Most babies start teething around 6 months, but it can happen anytime from birth to 12 months.
- Bottom front teeth 5-7 months
- Top front teeth 6-8 months
- Side incisors 9-13 months
- First molars 12-16 months
- Canines (fangs) 16-20 months
- Second molars 20-30 months
Common Signs:
- Red gums
- Flushed cheek
- Drooling
- Gnawing
How to help:
- Teething rings (cooled in fridge, not frozen).
- Gentle gum massage with a clean finger.
- Soft silicone finger brushes.
- Sugar-free paracetamol or ibuprofen (check age limits).
Note: High fever (38°C+) is NOT a teething symptom. Seek medical advice if baby is unwell.
